Privacy Policy
“If you want to be happy, focus on yourself and the things under your control; your life, your finances, your physical health, your mental wellbeing, and your spirituality.”
In general, the privacy of all communications between a client and a therapist is protected by law, and a provider can only release information about our work to others with your written authorization.
Exceptions include:
Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which a provider is required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, the provider must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
If a client intends to harm herself, the provider will make every effort to enlist her cooperation in ensuring her safety. If she does not cooperate, the provider must and will take further measures without her permission that are provided by law in order to ensure her safety.
